Commissions open! :)
Feb. 7th, 2015 01:24 pmWould anyone like to commission some art?
I'll draw just about anything. If anyone's interested, I'll open up one spot, and if more people are interested after I finish that one, I'll go down the list until I run out of steam. You can PM me, comment here, or comment at my commissions information post. <--Everything you need to know should be there, but if you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them.

Patreon account
Jan. 26th, 2015 04:38 amAre you interested in becoming a patron of the porny arts?
If so, check out Patreon :)
In order to encourage myself to finish more pictures, and to make ends (which are currently faaaar apart) meet, I'm setting up a Patreon account.
What is Patreon?
From their site:
Patreon lets fans support their favorite creators by becoming patrons. Unlike other fundraising services, which raise for a single big event, Patreon is for creators who create a stream of smaller works.
All you need to sign up to Patreon is an email or Facebook account.
If you want to become a Patron, here's how you do it :)
Monthly: Sign up to donate a certain amount monthly, starting at $1 per month. You can pay with a credit card or paypal, and you'll be charged at the end of the month.
There are reward tiers for the amount you'll donate, starting with access to my sketchbook of doodles and going up to full-color commissions. If you choose to become a Patron and change your mind later, you can opt out at any time.
Here is my Patreon site. (Please note that it's somewhat NSFW)
For more info, the Patreon Faq is here.
Please take a look, and if it sounds like your thing, any amount is much appreciated! I'll make this post again at the beginning of February, so if you want to think about it for a few days, you'll be reminded then :)

New community for arting!
Jan. 6th, 2015 07:45 amI've started a new community:
wedraweveryday!
This is a community for those who wish to art every day.
Anyone can join, watch or post.
Despite the name, any kind of art is welcome, be it stained glass, sculpture, papercutting, figurine painting, photography, anything at all!
You don't have to post every day, unless you want to. You don't have to post everything you draw, unless you want to.
You can post anything, from stick figures to the roughest of sketches to doodles to linearts to WIPs to finished works. There's no pressure for anything to be perfect or polished - this is about drawing every day, not being perfect every day :) Though if you want constructive criticism, you're free to post asking for that, too!
I'll try to have adaily post twice weekly wherein people can comment about what they've been working on, or leave links to things they don't want to post as entries. (Should I post daily, or once a week? Twice a week? Feedback on this is appreciated.)
Encouraging comments are encouraged :D
wedraweveryday! Join, watch, post, spread the word! The more people the better :)

New Year's Resolutions!
Jan. 5th, 2015 05:23 amI have one major one that I intend to keep:
DRAW EVERY FREAKING DAY.
I suffered so much through last year's art block that I'm determined not to let it get the better of me this year. I did the Draw Every Day thing in 2009, and it was really cool to look back every few months and see actual progress being made. I don't pressure myself to make a finished work every day, or even anything presentable - it just has to be at least a doodle, or some coloring. I actually have a tumblr for it: http://bbdrawseveryday.tumblr.com/ This is where I'll post my sketches and WIPs and doodles that deserve to see the light of day. 5 days in now, and I'm going strong. 5 days, and I think that's more days than I drew in the last three or four months of 2014. GONNA DO IT. I even bought new pencils and a new clipboard and everything.
My secondary resolution is to keep up a little better with my flist. There are so many cool and talented people that I watch, and I always skim through and think, "I'll comment on this later," and I never get around to it. This needs to change. I want to be more involved with fandom and the awesome people in it, and the only way to do that is to get out there and talk to them.
What are your NY resolutions, flist? Anybody want to join me in drawing every day? We can create a comm and everything, for doodles and sketches and WIPs and encouragement, if enough people are interested.

December 22:
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Oh goodness, this is a hard question. Let's see. I liked drawing as a kid but wasn't very good at it... lots of hands behind backs and cutting people off at the knee so I wouldn't have to draw feet, and I'd draw dinosaurs and crappy spaceships and vroom vroom cars, lol. I wasn't great, maybe even wasn't good, but I liked it. I was more interested in reading and math and playing outside.
I stopped drawing some time in elementary school, then decided to take Art in high school. I found out that I was pretty good at it, so I stuck with it through all four years. Then I took a Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain class during my brief stint in college, and I loved it.
Then I quit again! I let ten years go by before I picked up a pencil again, and by that point I was all kinds of out of practice. Also, I'd been reading a lot of manga, having just found the medium. I'd also just found out about fandom, and I read about people using tablets, and i wanted one. I got one for Christmas. It's the same one I'm still using now, seven years later. I was all into anime/manga at first, which was okay, because it got me drawing. I have mixed feelings about it now. I think it held me back as an artist when I could have been spending those years learning my own style, but then again, it taught me how to stylize, and eventually I did find my own style. It's still a work in progress, though. I do still admire Kubo Tite and Junji Ito's styles, but I wish I could draw/paint with more realism. I never really painted, and I wish I had. But that's how I got into arting, each time, lol.

Positivity Meme Day 5
Sep. 19th, 2014 08:45 amLast day! I actually finished a meme, lol.
1) Planning on livestreaming today, which I love to do. I need to get some Wincest feels out of my system, then gonna try to make some progress on commissions. (If you've never been to a livestream, here's a post where I talk about it a little bit. It's a lot of fun when several people come - the chats can get pretty raunchy sometimes, but I keep an eye out for people being jerks and kick em if I have to.)
2) I'm about to finish Season 2 with my mom. I want to see her cryyyy. I'll probably cry too. I love it.
3) On that note, I'm falling in love with SPN again. There for a while I was really sad, because it had just lost the spark for me, but now I'm so looking forward to S10!
4) bonus! I'm really enjoying my clean, finally-decorated room. I've got my posters up - SPN, Walking Dead, Muse, Doctor Who, Picasso and Dali. I'm so too old for tacked-up posters, but who cares? I love em. I'm also planning on printing out some of my PG-13 and below pics to put up.
5) bonus! lol. It's walking weather! I'm gonna lose 50 pounds in a year. I can do it! I've got myfitnesspal and my fitbit, and last fall and winter I walked at least five miles a day, and I loved it. Got way off track with the move and then the brutal summer, but I'm ready to be back on track! If anyone's on MFP, let me know so we can be friends!
