I was originally not going to sign up for the wincestiel big bang, but then I saw this prompt. I actually opened and closed the post a few times before I gave in, because I wanted it so badly! Horror and insanity are THE BEST. weareallpuppets has been really great to work with, despite some lapses in communication from the both of us /o\. She's got just the sickest, coolest ideas, and I love em. I hope you enjoy the fic as much as I have!





^I could not decide between these two. I know it's a minor difference, but... the bottom one is more saturated, and gets more of the look I originally had in mind. However the top one seems to fit these characters better, worn and gray and washed out, oppressive. Probably bad form to be so indecisive, but you can choose for yourselves which one you like, haha.







^This was one of my favorite scenes in the thing, and I had so much fun illustrating it. Many references were used.
I opened the file yesterday to do some last-minute editing, and I accidentally hid the wrong layer. The result scared the pants off of me.



Then, more dividers than a person needs in their entire life.















Finally, the city of Centralia is fascinating. After an underground mine fire in 1962 made it dangerous to live in, it was abandoned. In 2010 the ghost town had a population of ten.

Thank you very much! That picture, haha, I emailed the author and asked if it was okay to be blasphemous, because I felt like I was crossing some line (I really don't know, because I'm athiest! I don't know what offends, and what would be just titillating, and I don't want to alienate people?) I'm glad you like what I did with the horror!

Well regardless of your beliefs, someone will always be offended by something, so, you can't really worry about it. I really don't think this piece will alienate anybody.

Are you truly atheist or do you just not believe in any form of organized religion? I believe in a higher power or powers, something greater than myself but no in any form of organized religion. Although I respect your beliefs either way, no judgment here.

Wow. Sam and Cas are like the Pieta! IT'S AMAZING. We get incessant Dean/Cas in this fandom, so it's really great to see this spin on the relationships. The faces are just beautiful, and while both color treatments are super cool, I think I like the saturated one better because it feels more like stained glass. And the match picture? Fantastic lighting! Centralia sounds damned weird and kinda awesome. Creepy as shit. Kick-ass job, BB!

Yesss, the Pieta! Everybody gets a halo but Sam, because he is, of course, and abomination, haha. I was talking with the author about how the sam/cas side of wincestiel is often ignored (like, usually it's almost a poly-v? With Sam/Dean and Dean/Cas, but not much or any Sam/Cas.)

Of course, with some people it's Sam/Cas & Dean/Cas, to avoid the incests. Haha, anyway works. But she and I both prefer to put a little more focus on Sam/Cas, because the other two sides of the triangle have already been explored in ten thousand ways, haha.

The match picture was awesome fun. I love painting that kind of light on.

I think I actually prefer the more colour saturated pieta because the halo effect gets a bit lost on the more monochrome version. Now I need to read this fic...

:D Thank you! I was pleased with that too--I'd never been happy with any flames I''ve drawn until now. Also, it was an excellent source of light. That scene in the fic was just, ugh. Killer.

I'm starting to think I like the second one too. Originally, the secoind version was not as saturated. But I went in and smoothed things out, and saturated the alt version more than before, and the greens were like like WHOA.

Whoa... everything's coming up creepy right now. But I like creepy so it works.
Sam looks pretty amazing in those first stained-glass-looking pictures - sad and strong and wet, and pretty much perfect. And jeez, Cas looks like gooey death.
But that match light one really is shivery scary... I can't even process how much Cas's eyes makes my skin crawl. Great job. And I hope you found your pants.

Haha, it seems like I always go for the horror ones when it's claiming time! I love horror, and I love challenging myself to drraw it.

I'm glad he looks wet! It's such a little thing, but I didn't know how it came through, with all the other stuff in the picture. Haha, gooey death, just about right!

The match light one, oh man. I creeped myself out a little drawing it, which is a good sign, but when I dropped that one layer accidentally I really did jump in my seat. I had to set it as my desktop then, lol. Now I keep windows open over his face, and when I accidentally close them, I'm like Shit! and I open any window to cover it. I'm ridiculous, lol.

Cannot wait to read the fic , especially if there is Sam/Cas...refreshing change. Your art again, amazing. Dean's expression - pensive, irritated, angry, upset, sad, disappointed - like all rolled into one. And Sam, gently holding Cas, and his look of sorrow. That filtered Cas, creepy!

JFC, that picture of Castiel with the lit match is scary. Like, coming across it last night while I was reading the story? Creeped me the hell out. Awesome :D. I love the stained-glass approach to the group image, too. I think I like the less saturated one more... the brighter one does seem more like stained glass, in a way, but the less saturated one still has that vibe, just with a colder, dimmer light; which seems to fit the setting as well as the characters :).

I also thought your dividers were really cool - it was neat reading through and having them change. Subtle, creeping changes. This was such a good combo of art and fic.

And how cool to see the photos of the town! Dude, that hole in the ground. Yikes.

Thank you! Oh man, I'm glad the scary Cas worked... I've had a few people tell me it made them kind of jump in their seats when they saw it, so I feel like I can cross off "draw something that is actually scary" from my big list of things, haha. Ah, the stained glass ones... See, that's how I feel. The washed out one fits the scene better, plus the colors are hunter colors, layers of faded green and dirty white.

I love Centralia! I wish I could go there and see the creppy. But oh well :)
