This is lovely! I think Sam and Cas have good grounds for a really strong and supportive relationship - considering the experiences they have shared.

Cas comforting Sam and Sam reaching out to be comforted is beautiful.

Hee...and those slippers. :D Adds a touch of domesticity. I can just picture Sam slipping these on...

I quietly ship Sam/Castiel *almost* as much as I ship Sam/Dean. Like, alternate universes shipping, haha, if there were two I'd split em.
