Fandom Snowflake Challenge - Days 3 & 4

Day 3
In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you did not create. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so. See if you can rec fanworks that are less likely to be praised: tiny fandoms, rare pairings, fanworks other than stories, lesser-known kinks or tropes. Find fanworks that have few to no comments, or creators new to a particular fandom who maybe aren't well known or appreciated. Appreciate them.
I don't know if these are well-known or need comments, but I'm going the route of themed recs. Horror is my favorite genre, gory or suspenseful or psychological, and SPN has been the best fandom I've found so far in this regard. So!
1) The Crystal Ship by

Summary: Insanity has been explained as the act of repeating the same action over and over again and expecting a different result. Some might apply this definition to Sam Winchester, but they would be wrong. Sam has tried many different things in an attempt to get to the same result: he wanted to get back to Dean. The definition of insanity more accurately reflects those in charge who thought that a single guard was adequate coverage for a man who was once condemned to death by electric chair. Despite his size, people constantly underestimated what Sam Winchester was capable of.
One day, Sam decided to leave the hospital. So he did.
Wonderfully twisty-turny creepy AU that's not an AU. OR IS IT?
2) they read baudelaire in hell by

Summary: For the prompt: "Is growing flowers in somebody's heart a kink? Dean/Alastair."
Perfect Dean/Alistair: Disgusting and gory and painful and poetic with a very appropriate splash of humor.
3) Magpie, to the Seaside by
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Summary: Him and Dean, a house trailer by the sea, peaceful mornings recuperating from being ensouled—Sam could live with this, if only it weren’t for the uninvited visitor knocking at their door at midnight, every night
Lovecraftian and lovely, jarring in all the right places. I've just recently stumbled across indiachick, and am absolutely infatuated with her prose.
(It occurs to me that I may not have actually commented on all of these, which is an oversight that I'll have to fix soon! Authors, if you got the notification of the link and are reading this, please know that I love your fic and will make sure to leave you all my thoughts ASAP.)
Day 4
Comment to someone you haven't ever interacted with before or introduce yourself to someone you've interacted with and friend/follow them.
Will do!
