I didn't really think about the livestreaming thing before I posted; the rule about not posting before the assigned date kind of slipped my mind, and to me, LSing it would be the same thing. So I need to edit my post to reflect that.
As far as comments go, I'm kind of trying to gauge what people expect before I decide what to do. Hmmm. There are some sites where I don't answer comments on my art at all, but on LJ I do try to answer back.
That's kind of a relief that commenting has fallen everywhere, that it's not just me, though it's kind of sad, too. I guess it's fallen steadily, but I went so long between posting that it was really obvious to me when I did post. I also noticed that I didn't know most of the people in the sdotp minibang reveals post! Someone should create a friending meme or something, because either I don't pay attention to much, or there's some new blood I'm not familiar with yet.
I do understand being affected by your current canon feelings. I've got that going on in kind of a different way; I'm doing a rewatch, and I'm at the beginning of S3, so fic and art feels fresh and kind of hopeful to me. I almost ignored S9 except for the fun parts, because it just felt... wrong? to me. I don't know how I'm going to feel about S10, but I'm looking forward to it more now that I've started my rewatch than I was last month.
