As a former smoker, the first thing that I thought of upon reading this was that one day smokers will be more reviled than gays.
I won't mind living in that world (though I do think smokers have rights, too). It is just a little bizarre to have lived long enough to see this change.
I'm so happy for you that you are near your family and finally have a chance to relax.
