OMG, yes, the slippers! I do think Sam and Castiel are forming this sort of uneasy bond on Show. And oddly enough, I think it's because Sam is willing to forgive him. Sam gets what it's like to have done the very wrongest thing for a very earnest reason, nothing mean intended. (And I think this is where Sam has a tough time with some of Dean's recent behaviors. Dean didn't stop to think that what he was doing might be hurting Sam. Dean was mostly trying to spare Benny.) Guh, this turned into a rumination about Season Eight. Bad, bad fan!

Yeah, I think they've been forming it for quite some time; it's just not as overt as the one Castiel shares with Dean. I agree with the forgiveness thing, and there's also the fact that Sam kept believing in him, kept praying to him, even when Castiel went Vengeful God on the earth. (I agree with this part too, and would add that Dean *needs* to help people. Usually Sam agrees with him, or needs his help, but this time he felt Benny had such a need for his help (vs Sam's need, which seemed to be non-existent what with the normal life, and the no-more-hunting) and it was so immediate that he couldn't weigh other factors rationally. Yeah. I'll also stop speaking on it.)

This is lovely! I think Sam and Cas have good grounds for a really strong and supportive relationship - considering the experiences they have shared.

Cas comforting Sam and Sam reaching out to be comforted is beautiful.

So sweet and comforting, so tender and sad at the same time. I love the fuzzy slippers, the way Sam is holding Cas and Cas is stroking Sam's head. This is comfort at its best. You rock darlin, totally, absolutely ROCK! (yes this deserved caps lock)

This makes me squishy happy in a way unexpected! LOVE the fluzzy slippers. Sam's hair (it's official, I worship you for that alone.) And the simplicity of the black and white that isn't really black and white - more muted tones of softness and comfort.

Oh, there was no way this one could be hard-edged :) I know why it makes me squishy happy; Sam needs comfort and affection, I think, and while Dean is capable of providing it, he does it in a way that's kind of... eh, how do I say it. He does it obliquely. Not with hugs, but with bottle clinks and shared looks, and letting Sam drive or pick their restaurant, or letting Sam talk about feelings, or ribbing Sam in playful, affectionate ways. Rarely openly; no chick-flick moments. And Sam needs that kind of stuff, don't get me wrong. But I feel like Castiel is sincere and open about things, and inasmuch as he could provide physical comfort, he would do it happily with no pretense, and Sam could relax into it without wondering when he's going to be dumped onto the floor, lol.

I love Sassy. It's such a quieter ship than Sam/Dean or Destiel, but it has the capacity for so much comfort and openness that it makes my heart go all squishy sometimes, lol. Thank you!

You captured such a beautifully sweet quietness here - you can picture it being the wee hours of the morning. Lovely emotion and because it can't be said enough - the slippers are precious. Particularly since they look like mine ;)

Thank you very much! Sam/Castiel, I love that ship... it really does have a quiet aspect to it that I absolutely adore. The slippers are for a little extra comfort (I have some that look like that too, and I wear them when I feel down. They're so fuzzy and nice!)

Aww.... I think out of anything I've seen you draw, this gives me the most feels. I was kinda thinking about this pic the other day.

I just *love* the thought of these two boys being able to stay pensive together and finding that quiet comfort in each other. And having them sit on a park bench together (recently) just made me unbelievably happy. They have so much weighing on them, and they really are kindred spirits. I'm desperately hoping they realize that this season, because they're missing out on what could be an amazing friendship. And while things are okay between them right now, they could be better.

Also, Cas's warring-hair looks extra mussed and amazing. It makes me wonder if Sam roused Cas from some meditative angel-nap (in my head, I think Cas rests sometimes, even if he can't actually sleep) and they came out into the kitchen to talk so as not to disturb Dean. Or maybe Cas was running his hands through his hair and worrying about his own stuff, and Sam was up late, not able to sleep, and saw the light on and wandered in. Anyway... this is quietly beautiful.

Ahhh, the park bench. I love it when they sit together... benches, couches, chairs angled toward each other while Dean talks to Kevin. Those things make me stupid happy. I really hope that they'll develop a closer friendship, though they're already close. Ahhhhh, I just love them :)

You've got the ability to draw the simplest of pictures and then they speak a million words, never mind a thousand! You can see both men just woke up from sleeping. Sam's hair so super soft, and it must be a bit cool, because those fluffy slippers says it all!! :-)
