Sam always thought angel swords were a bit clunky, only good for stabbing. But Cas was using his with the precision of a surgeon. Sam risked a glance. Blood was everywhere. Cas’ hands, his sword, and completely covering Dean’s arm. He swallowed against sympathetic nausea and refocused on Dean.

This is very powerful, Dean;s black eyes and the rage on his face are amazing (and I love his freckles too!) and Sam's hair is glorious. I think this would have been a good way of removing the Mark and I'm looking forward to reading the fic.
