I love fandom fests. Kink memes, comment memes, bangs, exchanges. Right now I'm signed up for two, and I'm so conflicted on whether to do more! I've got commissions to work on, which take priority and which I can usually keep going strong on while doing other stuff, and I did decide to do art for the samdean-otp minibang (got a great, sweet author!) and I'm trying to figure out if I want to do a second piece for spn-reversebang (already have one piece turned in) and now I'm trying so hard to decide if i want to sign up for Cake Swap! *bites nails*

I love podficcing, and I love getting gifts in return, but it seems like it would be so hard to find fics to podfic that would suit people's likes and dislikes. I also can't think of any fics off the top of my head that I'd like to have podficced for me, other than my own because I love it when people record my fics. But I don't know if it would be proper etiquette to ask for that, lol.

I JUST DON'T KNOW. BWAAAAARGH.

(I am excited about the ones I'm participating in though :D) What are you guys signed up for/working on right now? And has anyone ever done Cake Swap, and if so, how was the experience?

Ask yourself this.... does the word overwhelmed mean anything.. I used to sign up for everything and then I got totally overwhelmed by it and started to hate challenges. I now do 3 a year and not ones that overlap.

Yeah, that's what I'm worried about. It's just that the sdotp minibang, the reversebang, and poddficcing are the three things I love, and it just happens that they overlap. I think I might decide to EITHER do a second picture for the reversebang OR sign up for the podfic exchange. HMMMM.

Oh, and I think i've decided not to do the colorme challenge month in October. Even if I didn't do anything but the minibang and the reversebang, I think it would be too much for me to keep up with. Maybe I'll put up a poll to see when people want to do another one, or if there's even any interest. I think everyone would be too busy in October anyway, with all the bangs and stuff that are going on. What do you think?

I don't think there has been any activity at colorme at all in months. We can try and start it back up again in October.. maybe put up a post that says about is there any interest still sparkling for this community and do a poll, see what happens.

I'm off the radar from the 27th to the 30th... so if you want to discuss it during that time for a final decision, you'll have to text me, I won't have internet access to LJ.

Would you mind taking on a good part of the mod responsibilities if we do run it within the next two months? I don't mean everything, but maybe a 50/50 split so it doesn't overwhelm me. I know you've got a lot of stuff going on, and I do too, so if it's going to overwhelm us both, then we should wait until another time.

Okay, I'll try to get my shit together and put a post up tomorrow lol. I want to link to the old rules and whatnot so that people can revisit them and maybe remember how much fun it was, and how easy it was to get points. The poll will be up soon in any case :) We might not even have to worry about it, if no one's interested.

That sounds like a plan. I think since nothing has been going on over there for months and lj's downslide outside of old school challenges and clique memes.

I hope there is some interest, but if not, we gave it a go. Pornapalloza isn't fairing so well these days either.
