Positivity Meme Day 2

I'm on top of this, lol. Two days in a row!

1)I've been getting lots of bed rest, so I've been listening to some of my favorite podfics. You know how the best way to write is to write for yourself? Well, I wrote a fic that I still love, And you would be a fool, and [livejournal.com profile] fantamae podficced it brilliantly here. Also of note are Summer Blackout and Jock Itch, and Song of the Treadmill, and my ALWAYS FAVORITE Dictionary for a Dead Language.

2) These last few days I've been eating WHATEVER I WANT!!! In moderation, of course. Sausage and toast for dinner! Chicken Noodle Soup for breakfast! Comfort food is comforting.

3) I've finally convinced my mom to watch SPN with me, and I think she's hooked. We just finished Season 1, and she's already cried 3 times. After In My Time of Dying, she was cursing John so hard, just going, Why did you do it, John???? Why didn't you say goodbye to Sam?????? and we had to watch the gag reel to feel better, lol. She wanted to watch the thing with Jensen and Jared, a Day in the Life or whatever, and I think she's got crushed on Dean, Sam, Jared and Jensen, plus JDM. She says she'll miss his handsome face, awwwww. She was awed by the part where Sam comes out of the shower, and I was like, yessssss. I'm trying to figure out when it's safe to thrust my one winchester-bros h/c genfic on her, lol.

My Mum would NEVER watch SPN. And if she did, she'd spend most of the time complaining she can't understand what they are saying and then want subtitles. I got my aunty Margaret to watch but she's not really that keen, she wants more humour and less angst and was much more pleased with her SPN lego set than she ever was with her DVDs...!

Oh, Dictionary for a Dead language. I feel I need to read that one again sometime soon. When I've finished Kalliel's Dry Salvage and Indiachick's Babel Fish BBs, maybe.

lol, my mom wanted subtitles too at first, but on the S1 discs there are no English subtitles. So she got used to watching it without subtitles, and I'm glad, because you miss a lot of stuff on screen when you're busy reading.

Oooh, I'll definitely have to check out indiachick's bb. She's got such a way with words, she does.

Sometimes, you've just gotta have pancakes for dinner or homemade mac & cheese for breakfast. Comfort food is indeed comforting. :)

And yay for convincing family to give SPN a watch! \o/

:)

I've tried to get my sister to watch it too, but it's tooo spoooky for her lol. She can't watch anything horror, and if you're not inured to horror stuff, some of SPN can be pretty scary!

I got my brother to start watching a while back and he's become a total Sam!boy. :) He's seen some of my fanart too, and while I can't say he didn't bat an eye, he was remarkably accepting of his sister's hobby of drawing pretty boys in vaguely compromising positions. (Little bro is indeed special.)
