Looking for Teen Wolf and The Walking Dead fic recs

Hi guys!

I've been devouring new media, and I'm wondering if I could get some recs :) I've been watching Teen Wolf and The Walking Dead (plus reading the TWD comic) and I'd love to have some good fanfic to sink my teeth into.

I'm looking for any pairing (or gen), any genre (though I do love horror and get-together fic). In-universe and in-character would be fantastic. Are there any fandom "classics" I should read, as I'm sampling both of these fandoms years late?

Also: PODFIC RECS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED. Self-recs welcome! I notice that TW fandom posts a lot to DW and AO3, so I don't know if I'd miss any, as I find my podfics at amplificathon/audiofic.jinjurly.com

Thanks in advance! <3

ETA: Some Walking Dead and Teen Wolf spoilers in the comments!

I love horror and survival horror, but I've always been a little bit repulsed by zombies. Dead things, rotting stuff, that stuff makesw me sick more than I find it scary. But yeah, TWD is all about people. The comic is the same way, and I love that a lot of the characters are different, and the story is different, so that I don't know what's going to happen next on the show. i also love that the writers aren't afraid to kill people!

Like, Daryl Dixon was not in the comics, and I never got why people liked him so much until i finally started watching it. I'd see pictures of him and people going nuts over him, and think, really??? lol. But in action, and watching his character grow, I'm really digging him.

I'm kind of like you on the not shipping so much as rooting for people on TWD. It's so good, I'm just gobbling it up! And starting to get immune to zombies finally, haha. Though Max Brooks' World War Z (the book and the audiobook) are AMAZING, and about the people and the world, too. The movie, I would never pay to watch though, because I can't believe how badly they fucked it all up, lol. Furious.

I haven't watched any Talking Dead. maybe I can find clips on youtube or something. i don't have tv, so i just watch things on Netflix and various other parts of the internet.

I'm really loving this season of TW. The nogitsune is pretty goddamn awesome, and Dylan O'Brien has really stepped up to the plate. He seems a LOT older now too, so maybe that's why I'm better with Sterek now than I was when I first started watching. Plus, I love his hair this season, lol. I wanna see more Scott development, though. But not at the expense of this story arc!

I like Daryl, he is a very strong character who has blossomed since the beginning and with watching Merle become a Zombie and having to kill him, we got to see his dark place. I loved watching him grow and emerge out of that space as he realized all he ever needed was right in front of him and that he was and is his own man.

A character I started out hating was Carol. She was weak and pitiful with her whining and crying about first her abusive husband and then her daughter. I used to think, put that bitch out of her misery but then third season she bucked up and became a character I liked. She grew a backbone, got stronger, and showed interest in Daryl romantically well undertones of romantic intent anyway. When Rick sends her away, it actually broke my heart a little but like you said, in this show, the writers aren't afraid to kill anyone off, to take your favorites and yank them away to keep your emotions on edge.

When you get to season four, it is a whole new ballgame.. I can't wait to discuss the plot with you for it because it dives deeper into each individual member of the group's past and in very unique ways.

Stiles as the nogitsune is brilliant. I am so wrapped up in how they are going to defeat it and what is going to happen with Scott and Kira.. the wolf and the fox. Also I hope Isaac doesn't die, he was possessed when he came out of the coma... This season is just so packed with interesting intrigue and drama.

My favorite line in this season so far was Lydia... Stiles is part of your pack, he's human but he's part of your pack, right...... I LOVE THAT LINE.. very telling of Stiles role in Scotts life.

I want to know why Scott's father left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really hope that Scott comes into his own and does take on a full pack of his own..

I don't care for the twins all that much, they can go now. lol

Honestly the only interaction Derek and stiles have had this season was while they were in the same room two times. Also Derek was obsessed with the chess game and why stiles put his name on a piece.. lol So no sterek this season so far.. not even if I squint really, really hard. lol
