ISO good J2 Non-AU early season RPS

OKAY, so, I'm not really into RPS. I have no objective problem with it, and I applaud all you lovely fans who post it, it's just that it's not something that's floated my boat before.

However, rewatching SPN has kind of made me want to dip my toes into some fic. Like, especially early-season fic, around the times when Jared would try to kiss Jensen on the red carpet (I love that gif to pieces) or when they were living together.

The thing is, I want the really good stuff. I want the classics. Good characterization, good writing, non-AU early-season stuff. Slow-builds/UST/First-times are especially relevant to my interests. Any rating, though I prefer at least a little bit of lovin'.

I'd ask over on spnstoryfinders, but they ask that you don't ask for "the good ones."

I'm alsoooo really interested in Mishalecki, something I hardly ever see a peep of. Is there any of that out there? it seems like it would be fun.

Does my lovely friendslist have any recs for me? <3<3<3 I don't know when I'll find time to read them, but I want to.

I'm self-reccing Pay Phone, which starts out during early SPN and beyond; and The Switch, a short with a little twist.

You could also read A Mile in My Shoes, a Lifetime in My Head, which is set in SPN days but addresses BPD2 as well.

I know, I'm being picky, but I know that there's so much J2 out there that there's GOT to be some (oh man, at first I typed come, stupid trained fingers) that fit the bill, so I figured it didn't hurt to ass. Ask. There's so much AU out there! I went to spnstoryfinders to look for some j2, but it seems like AU is just everywhere, and I got overwhelmed.

I VERY enthusiastically agree with yohkobennington's recs. I don't even know how many times I've read those two, but I love them just as much every time!. qblackheart is an amazing writer.

I would also recommend Just One Breath (http://kee.livejournal.com/13376.html) and all of its prequels and time stamps. This is another story I've read many times. That one is definitely one of "the classics."

Courtship was the very first J2 fic I read, it took me three days and left me feeling shattered that it was over. qblackheart is an amazing author, and BB, you will not be able to help falling in love with her characters.
