Well, hmmm. If it was my call, I wouldn't say it was cheating, at all. It just wouldn't be wholly traditional art--it would be digitally enhanced traditional art? I don't know, that makes it sound like "digital" is better, when they're really just two different animals. Maybe I'd just say a work was created traditionally and touched up in whatever program.

Does it devalue one's art? I... I don't know, lol. I think if someone is a strictly traditional artist and they use photoshop to fix mistakes, but still call it strictly traditional, that's kind of iffy, because the physical copy of the art isn't going to be the same. But if what you're looking for is the best finished image possible, and using a graphics program to edit your drawings makes them better, then that's a good thing, right?

You may be asking the wrong person, haha. I don't really have training aside from a few years of high school art, and I rarely use traditional media these days--I just manipulate shapes and lines and colors in Paint Tool Sai until I like the way it looks, haha.
